Tyler was born and raised in Warren, MI. Raised in a Christian home, he grew up in the church, as well as a Christian School. He heard the Roman’s Road when he was nine years old and entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ. When he was 16 years old, he was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, which would greatly shape and direct the trajectory of where his life was heading. Upon graduating high school, he began pursuing a career in law enforcement. During that time, he started having health complications associated with his Crohn’s Disease and had to undergo emergency surgery in early 2014. Associate Teaching Pastor
Justin Whitcomb was raised in Warren, MI. Raised in a Christ-following home, he gave his life to Christ as a child. Justin is married to his wife Kaitlyn and they have one son named Judah. Justin has spent several years working in a professional workplace. He served as a ministry intern at Woodside Bible Church in Troy, MI. He has earned his Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Leadership from Rochester University. He serves as the associate teaching pastor at Phos Chuch. Justin’s passion is to see people come to know Christ and grow in their love for Him and knowing His Word.
Anthony was born in Detroit, MI and moved to Nassau, Bahamas with his family when he was five years old. He spent much of his childhood at the beach and was homeschooled through most of his school years. He played the electric guitar on his youth group's worship team until he moved back to Michigan at the age of 19. He is currently studying at LTU, pursuing a Master's degree of Architecture. He has been able to continue serving the church by being a part of Phos' worship ministry, where God has continued to grow him in is faith, and his love for worship and music.
Julia Hoerauf was born and raised in Macomb Twp MI. She was homeschooled, from pre-k to 12th. She grew up in the church and started serving in different ministries as soon as she was able to. Julia previously worked as the worship director at Hope City Church. Growing up she went to a couple different churches, and as she reached 18, she realized the incredible need for authentic young adults ministry. Today she co-runs Rooted, Phos' young adult ministry.
